Purposeful Intentions
A belated Happy New Year to my network, I hope you are all well, rested and ready to head into 2022 as a fresh start. The beginning of a new year I see as a clean slate for the year ahead and the perfect time for setting out what you want to achieve. It seems even more pertinent after a period of uncertainty and some plans went on hold or were postponed.
Having a plan for how we want to be and what we want to achieve is an effective way to have a clear focus, succeed and grow and bring the very best to not only your work life but personal life too.
Think about the challenges ahead and how a new perspective or approach with clear goals can drive your success.
I suggest avoiding grand promises and monumental goals, often less is more especially when designed as stepping-stones to get there.
Organisational goals and vision setting should be shared company wide. Set time aside to communicate the plans and signpost how you can do better than the period before, reinforce values – and make sure all value your values. Most of all make it count.
A shared vision and goals and regular updates on progress or changes help to keep momentum. Some do this as a dedicated company conference or ‘kick-off’ but there are a host of ways to deliver your vision.
We are working with clients to deliver a range of events, in-person, online and hybrid that reflect on 2021, communicate the priorities for the coming quarter, year etc. and bring everyone together to have an aligned outlook. It’s important to review where you have been and the obstacles faced to move forwards.
Our studio is in use to deliver virtual events, some created as a series of events that are then available on-demand so delegates/employees can watch and refer back to. It’s also a good opportunity to use when new joiners begin with your organisation so they can get a good understanding of the company values and vision – and the role they play to delivering this.
The execution of your strategy plans will be the linchpin to get teams onboard with how they are involved and build inclusivity towards a common goal. Writing objectives is often the easier part, delivering the results is typically a combined effort so seize the moment and lead from the front, include all and share your ‘kick-off’ to 2022.
How can I help?
1. I have lots of case studies for how these type of events are delivered by the LZ team (and the impact they have had on attendees). Ask me and I will share these with you, just leave a comment below or send me a message.
2. Book an hour out of your schedule and I’ll show you around our purpose-built Birmingham based studio and we can look at live examples over a coffee and a biscuit (or a ryvita and green tea if you are on a health kick). Email me to set up a meeting louise@lemonzestevents.co.uk
3. I love a challenge so share with me your ideas for what you want to achieve with a 2022 kick-off event – large or small and I’ll tell you the best way to build killer content, execute it in the most appropriate way and it best of all my advice won’t cost you a penny.
Let’s make 2022 one to remember for all the right reasons!
